Up for studying travel writing in Paris this summer?

This July I'll be teaching the travel-writing portion of the intensive creative writing program at the Paris American Academy. The course lasts the entire month of July, and also includes classes in fiction, poetry, screenwriting, and creative nonfiction. All classes are conducted in English. Tuition includes "survival French" courses and weekend excursions to other parts of France. College credit is available through a partnership with Wittenberg University. My travel-writing section (which takes place the final week of the course only) will focus on nonfiction storytelling and on-the-road fact gathering, as well as some pointers on travel-publishing markets. (Plus I bring in wacky guest speakers, assign unorthodox writing exercises, and tell lots of off-color jokes -- should be good fun. And Paris is beautiful!)
