Still can’t get yourself to quit your job?

When I decided to quit my job and move abroad with the aim of personal growth by immersing myself into another culture, it took me a good 18-months after I had the idea, to actually take the leap. Sometimes you just need that last push to just do it. For me, it was Rolf’s Vagabonding book that gave me that last, much needed jolt.

As much as you often need things that will push you to be courageous and follow your dreams fearlessly; you also need a sporadic dose of the same once you have done it. A year-and-a-half into living abroad on my terms, I have lived tremendously, but am in a phase where the question “BUT WHAT ABOUT YOUR FUTURE, ABHA?” is flashing before my eyes in big, bold, red letters. It’s an awful feeling.

In this state of befuddlement, as I was losing myself reading online, I came across this article on Brave New Traveler (that has just merged with Matador Travel, by the way) that might give all of you, wanting to quit your job or on the road for a while, the boost you need or the reminder as to why you made the decision in the first place. It lists 12 personal websites that will make you quit your job — check out the list here.
