Passports with Purpose raising money for Cambodia

Passports with Purpose is a group of travel bloggers making an effort to give back to the places they've visited.

The group recently launched a fundraising effort to support American Assistance for Cambodia (AAfC) an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving opportunities for the youth and rural poor in Cambodia.

The goal of this year's fundraising event is to collect $13,000 USD which is enough to build a school in rural Cambodia. As of this writing the group has raised about $8610 toward this year's goal. If the general feel-good nature of donating money to help out the children of Cambodia isn't enough to sway you, the donation also enters you in a contest to win various prizes donated by sponsors and fellow travel bloggers.

The process is two-fold. First you donate to the cause (a mere $10 gets you in the running for a prize) and then you choose which prize you'd like to win. Prizes range from Flip video cameras to vacation packages to new travel packs and more.

Passports with Purpose was founded by four prominent travel bloggers Debbie Dubrow of DeliciousBaby, Pam Mandel of Nerd's Eye View, Michelle Duffy of WanderMom and Beth Whitman of Wanderlust and Lipstick.
