Yes, Lonely Planet has finally joined the bandwagon of weblog awards! Nominations for the Lonely Planet Travel Blogger Awards are now open. You can nominate as many blogs as you want, in the following categories:

# Best Consumer Travel Blog
# Best non-English language Blog
# Best Video Blog (including YouTube Channels)
# Best Micro-Blogging (Twitter etc)
# Best Image Blog
# Best Themed Blog (trekking etc)

Awards are good because they bring to notice lots of new and reading blogs that you would probably never have found on your own. Good travel blogs are inspiring. So, if you want to be inspired, or know about travel blogs that will inspire others, do take the trouble to nominate.
