Hurray for street food!
One of the most fun parts of travel is sampling street food. Cheap, delicious and ubiquitous, I can't think of a more enjoyable way to get into a culture. There's also the added convenience of being able to point at things, rather than wrestling with a menu that doesn't have English or pictures. I still miss that little stall in Shanghai where I used to get braised pork steamed buns. They cost less than US$0.10 and were tasty and filling. Got any recommendations for certain cities and snacks?
After a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur and eating all that satay, I'd definitely put that city in my Top 10.
