Vagabonding debuts on Book Sense bestseller list

The American Booksellers Association has released its Book Sense Bestseller List for the month of January, and it looks like Vagabonding has cracked the Travel Writing Top 25, with a debut at #15. A lot of perennial travel favorites, such as Jon Krakauer’s 1997 Into Thin Air and Peter Mayle’s 1990 A Year in Provence still hold slots — and Bill Bryson has four separate books on the list. Results are culled from a survey of 350 independent booksellers nationwide. Here’s a rundown of the top 25 travel titles:

1. A Cook’s Tour, by Anthony Bourdain
2. Blue Latitudes, by Tony Horwitz
3. Bill Bryson’s African Diary, by Bill Bryson
4. Walking the Bible, by Bruce Feiler
5. A Walk in the Woods, by Bill Bryson
