The “Brief Safe”

[Above: Behold the “Brief Safe”.]

I have seen many traveler money belts and safety devices in my day, but never before have I seen something quite so innovative as the Brief Safe (pictured above).

This is no April Fool’s joke, either. According to the promotional website, valuables can be hidden in the 4″ x 10″ crotch compartment of these special briefs, which include somewhat disturbing “special markings” on the lower rear portion. “Leave the ‘Brief Safe’ in plain view in your laundry basket,” the site says, “or washing machine at home, or in your suitcase in a hotel room — even the most hardened burgler or most curious snoop will ‘skid’ to a screeching halt as soon as they see them.”

Indeed.

Yeah, but what happens once the criminal become wise to the ploy?

The thing would be to mix them up with some real skidmarked underware. To create a diversion.

Actually, who needs to buy the fake underware, when you have the real thing, with authetic yellow stains on the front as well?

I’m feelin really creative this morning. Must be the other coffee cus I got another idea: A cum- stained towel to hide your pasport in?

Feel free to use my suggestion. You cant copywrite a great idea!

They ought to have a deluxe pair with the added feature of that special scent!

Thanks for the humor – and happy April Fools Day! In the words of one of our great travelers: “This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are the other three hundred and sixty four days of the year.”
