New age online travel resources

I’m lucky that all the blogging I do is for travel-blogs. All a different audience, but in the same industry so I like to think I’m up to speed with the vast and rapid changes that happen on the web. Apparently not.

A recent article from AP listed a set of new online travel-tools making some noise on the world wide web, and I was familiar with only two of them!

Travel news updates is one thing and keeping track of online travel tools that facilitate easier trip organization is another. Every time I travel, I try to make my reservations through new and recommended sites, but it’s easy to get lazy and stick to what you are used to rather than spend time experimenting with new resources, especially when there are hundreds of them sprouting up everyday competing with each other to provide their customers with ‘integrated’ travel booking solutions.

Anyway, for what it’s worth — here are the new sites that the AP article lists:
Boo.com
Vayama.com
VibeAgent.com
Yellowpages.travel
Yapta.com
Triplt.com
Orbitz.com
BestTripChoices.com
Fabsearch.com
Yahoo Trip Planner
Americanexpress.com
Travelocity.roadtripwizard.com
Cfares.com

Have any of you used any of these?

It seems you’ve missed one other site to add to your collection :) local travel and relocation links and resources at http://www.gottarelocate.com

The site facilitates linking to local pages of other sites via one easy to use interface. I’m always looking for others to comment on my site, so drop in and comment. Cheers…

as a matter of interest, which 2 were you familiar with?

Not to answer your question,Aisling, but I was very surprised with the yellowpages travel site. Seems like everyone these days innns moving towards providing everything and ends up providing nothing.
