Help Exchange: Bringing travel volunteers together

If you’re looking to travel long-term and work along the way at organic farms, hostels, home stays, B&Bs and the like, head over to Help Exchange–a network of job listings from around the world.

“This scheme is primarily provided as a cultural exchange for working holiday makers who wish to have the opportunity during their travels abroad, of staying with local people and gaining some practical experience.”

Though requirements vary among hosts, workers can expect to work “an average of 4 hours per day,” while receiving free accommodations and complimentary or reduced-rate meals.

Potential helpers are able to browse all listings in the database, but the contact information for each new or Premiere host is hidden until you signup for a free membership. Upgrading to the Premiere helper membership allows access to contacts for all listings.
