(Win a Free Copy of) What Color is Your Jockstrap?

jockstrap.jpg

Last month, Jen Leo debuted the fourth volume in her ever-growing collection of travel-humor tomes, What Color is Your Jockstrap? Unlike Jen’s previous anthologies, this is not a womens-only affair; in addition to funny female writers like Susan Orlean and Laurie Notaro, this book features stories from the likes of Tim Cahill, J. Maarten Troost, Elliott Hester, Seth Stevenson, and yours truly.

Two of the female contributors to the anthology — Sara R. Levine and Alexandra Bockfeldt — conceptualized and wrote their humor stories here in Paris, in the 2005 session of my writing workshop at the Paris American Academy. Congrats Sara and Ally — you make us proud!

For a sneak peek of the writing in the anthology, check out my own story, “Utterly Lost in Translation”, which was serialized in my Yahoo! News “Traveling Light” column this week.

Finally, the best news of all is that you can win a free copy of What Color is Your Jockstrap simply by sending Jen Leo an email at: jockstrap@travelerstales.com . Be sure to write “Vagablogging” in the subject heading so she knows where the entry is coming from.

The free book(s) will be selected via a semi-random drawing — but Jen might just show favoritism if you write a funny message to go with your entry, so don’t be shy!

Jen will announce the book winner(s) on July 21, when she drops in to Vagablogging.net as a guest blogger for a day. Good luck everyone!
