Time Lapse Video of Cross-country Trip

Seeing Justin’s recent post of a time lapse trip through the Panama Canal reminded me of this time lapse video of a cross-country drive from New York to Los Angeles in a convertible. Not only is this interesting from a technical and creative perspective, it also tells a story. Seeing them break down and go into the repair shop was a highlight.

Driving across the country has become something of an American tradition, though not many people seem to get around to doing it. My brother recently moved to Long Beach from upstate New York and he and my sister drove all the way there, with a stop at the Grand Canyon. So here’s to them and anyone else doing it. Enjoy:

I seriously love this video. It’s been an inspiration for me to attempt a cross country trip somewhere down the road, hopefully in a year or so I’ll be able to say I’d done such a trip.
