Wow, "Dave" sounds pretty upset about something... I wonder if he was one of the boyfriends who got "left behind" for the big trip?!? haha
As one of the inspiring characters/boyfriends who has lived through some of the stories, actually makes it into the book a few times, and has read advanced draft copies, I can say that from what I have read (haven't read all of it, but the stuff that relates to me at least) it is all quite honest and representative. Raw even, and brilliant, as is pretty much everything that I've ever known Amanda to put out in print.
Many who don't feel ready or capable to drop everything and wander their way around the world will thoroughly enjoy zipping through the pages of this tome and living vicariously through The Girls.
Those who are haters, got dumped, or don't even understand that a writer could get a block under pressure despite being immersed in new experiences, etc., I guess will just bitch and moan on websites like this.
I for one, look forward to reading the entire book in print next May! And seeing how they get to play me in the movie... :D

Seriously? A book and a movie. What do they have to write about? How they sacrificed their "Sex and the City" lifestyles to travel?
From what I saw of their blog they didn't sacrifice anything. All they did was transfer their "Sex and the City" routine to Peru,
Brazil, Australia, etc. They complain about writer's block on their blog and I can understand why. There is nothing compelling enough
in their story to write about.
The success of this book, if there will be any, lies in their selection of a "Super Agent". I can't wait to see how much of this book
is fiction.
