If you’re lacking an outlet for your travel videos, look no further than National Geographic. They’ve just launched a user-generated video site called Everyday Explorers.
Share away. And while you’re at it, you might want to scan the other videos on the site to preview someplace on your “must visit” list. You can rate your favorite clips—they’ll get moved into the “Top Rated” category, alongside “Most Viewed” and “Editors’ Picks.”
The website only launched recently, so it’s a little sparse on content. But how’s this for a start?…unique singing talents in Mongolia, riots in Budapest, and dancing porters in Tanzania.
If you have access to high-tech gear for videotaping, that’s great—of course they’ll take those videos. But there’s nothing wrong with the video you shot with your mobile phone camera. Who knows, they say that the best submissions could get included in the National Geographic professional library.
“Travel” is one of the categories on the site for your videos, but so are “Wildlife/Pets,” “Weather,” and “Green Tips”—everything you’d imagine on a National Geographic website.
