Summer internship from STA Travel

For undergrad or grad students out there, check out STA Travel’s “World Traveler Internship.” It sounds like a summer whirlwind of just the right proportions. The winner travels through 14 countries—from Croatia to Argentina to Vietnam—in 3 months. All STA Travel asks is that you share your experiences via a journal/blog, video and podcasts along the way.

The applications are due March 1, 2008, and include both written and video versions. Here’s the fine print….you must be:
* completing an undergraduate or grad degree in any field at an accredited university in the United States (or studying abroad through a US university);
* 18-26 years-old;
* available to travel between June 1-September 1, 2008.

The video application seems to be key—STA is looking for creativity, energy, passion for travel, writing/video skills, and a general fit based on the requirements. For inspiration, see the video entry from last year’s winner. She convinced me…and obviously last year’s judges, too.
