STA World Traveler Intership 2010

sta-intern-logoIt’s that time of year again! STA Travel will begin accepting applications for its World Traveler Intern position beginning January 26th 2010. For vagabonders aspiring to get a foot in the door in the fields of travel writing or photography, this is a great opportunity!

STA Travel will foot all expenses and choose 2 lucky applicants to travel 6 of the 7 continents. Interns will interview travelers and travel guides, create video, blogs, and podcasts and, of course, have a singularly amazing experience. For a glimpse of what you’re in for, check out last year’s itinerary.

The position is open to graduate and undergraduate students or anyone at all, as long as you are between the ages of 18 and 26 and have a great outgoing personality and a love for travel.

Summer interns have gone on to start their own creative projects, like Lindsay Clarks’ project Nommadderwhere. Nomadderwhere is an intriguing website that is jampacked with interesting information and travel stories. She maintains the site with another writer that she met at Semester at Sea.

While STA Travel will have the daunting task of selecting only 2 interns out of what is sure to be hundreds of applicants, don’t worry. Last year’s runners-up left with some pretty sweet parting gifts of their own.

Let this year’s World Traveler Internship positions go to one of you vagablogging readers. So don’t delay! Go, get your applications ready! Now!
