If you are reading this blog, then you might be an aspiring travel writer and fancy yourself as the “next Rolf Potts.” Oh we can all dream!

Yet many aspiring writers decide never to pursue their writing dreams because of the lack of money, the seemingly huge amount of competition and the difficulty getting into the field. Attending one of Rolf’s courses would no doubt give you a great insight into the field but if you can’t make it to Paris, then hopefully this post will give you some other options.

I don’t claim to write for much money yet - and after having completed my own book recently, I decided that it was a bit too much like hard work for not much financial reward to pursue it as a full time career whilst I travel the world permanently.

I have however, in my travels around the internet, collected a number of links and resources of places where aspiring writers can not only cut their travel writing teeth and get some exposure but also potentially earn some money too.
