Nude Abroad

Looking for a really specific package tour?  How about nude tourism?

The majority of options for nudists abroad are tasteful clubs and cruises; luxury resorts have opened their doors to all-nude sections, and there is even a nude airline.  In fact, Bare Necessities, a Texas-based travel agency, specializes in clothing optional cruises and resort vacations.  Most places catering to clothing optional tourism go by the tagline, “nude is not lewd,” stressing that they are not designed as inappropriate vacation hotspots.

Clothing optional resorts are just one more in a long list of specialized vacation options.  There is ecotourism (trips based around sustainable behaviors or environmental impact), dinotourism (trips based around fossil hunting and dinosaurs), and even yogatourism (trips based around yoga retreats and study).  As the world gets smaller and more accessible, more markets arise for welathy travelers.  There are belly dancing tours catering specifically to tourists from China and Japan, where Middle Eastern dance has become a major hit over the past few years.

For long term travelers, these tours are less relevant, but serve mostly to demonstrate a view into a slice of life that we never knew existed.  If, as a vagabonder, you find yourself wishing you could find a place to indulge your love for fine wines or your yen for tai chi, somebody somewhere has created a tour just for you.
