Korea has rested infuriatingly outside of the budget travel loop for quite some time. However, in November of last year, Air Asia began offering flights from Seoul to Kuala Lumpur for around US$300 round trip. This opens up a lot of options for travelers, as Kuala Lumpur is a major travel hub in Asia and it’s easy to book cheap continuing flights to just about everywhere from there.
