The last line of this article says it all. Travellers and travel writers should use their experiences to open their minds and broaden their experience of other cultures, not to reinforce previously held notions. One of the main joys of travel, as far as I&#039;m concerned, is the discovery of diversity and realities that defy stereotypes.
