The unexpected only happens to those who are open to it

“We attribute much to chance meetings, refer to them as turning points in our life, but these encounters could never have occurred had we not made ourselves ready for them. If we possessed more awareness, these fortuitous encounters would yield still greater rewards. It is only at certain unpredictable times that we are fully attuned, fully expectant, and thus in a position to receive the favors of fortune. The man who is fully awake knows that every ‘happening’ is packed with significance.”
–Henry Miller, The World of Sex (1940)

    This is why they say:
“You can only achieve what you can dream off”

In other word - if you can not envision yourself living your dream you will never be able to achieve your dream!

    Happy dreaming :)

Anyone who quotes Henry is a friend of mine. I just love that randy yogi. You know that he was a bicyler? That was his primary mode of transport throughout his life and there are many wonderful pictures of him and his bike. An aside: One of my favorite lines in all of literature, which was written by Ralph Waldo Emerson and which I heard from Henry Miller, is, “These novels will give way, by and by, to diaries or utobiographies – captivating books, if only a man knew how to choose among what he calls his experience that which is really his experience, and how to record truth truly.” Henry prefaced Tropic of Cancer with that quote. Thanks for your blog.
