Updating the "Vagabonding" resources: Week 2, Chapter 3
Hi there, me again! Bringing you up to speed, a few weeks ago I announced that Rolf's book, Vagabonding, will be going into a second edition within the year, complete with a fully updated resources section. We put a call out for you to help us update that resource section for the second edition, and this is the second week in a 10-week-long series asking for those website links, books, and other resources that fit into the various categories found in the book.
This week we'll be asking for new resources for chapter 2, which includes these categories:
Resources for lifestyle simplicity
Budgeting and money management
Vagabonding for seniors
Vagabonding with children
To see what resources were included in the first edition of Vagabonding, click on the category above. Do you know of any websites, books, or other resources that are missing from these categories? Please let us know in the comments.
I'll get the ball rolling with a few suggestions of my own:
For Budgeting and Money Management, I recommend the Get Rich Slowly blog, and "The Money Book for the Young, Fabulous & Broke" by Suze Orman. Both offer solid advice for figuring out your priorities and getting your finances in order so you can spend money on what's most important to you.
Don't forget, we're still accepting submissions for Chapter 1.
Next week, we'll be asking for submissions on the first half of chapter 4, which includes topics like guidebook publishers, online travel research, and planning guides. See you then!

My website http://www.deliciousbaby.com has lots of tips, advice and resources for parents traveling with small children. There are also family-friendly city guides with information about things to do with kids & my personal travel stories.

Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree Forum has active branches for travel with kids and travel for seniors - see "Kids to Go" and "Older Travellers", more than halfway down the page. The Thorn Tree is a great resource with tens of thousands of users pooling their experience.

The new Rough Guide on traveling with kids, by Fawzia Rasheed, is due out any day. I'd keep an eye on this one. I saw an advance copy and it is fantastic, not to mention up to date.
