Dealing with loneliness on the road

A long time on the road, whether traveling with a partner or on your own, can give you bouts of loneliness; basically because of your transitional status. Sure, you will meet a zillion awesome people all the time, so physically you may never be alone; but it’s not hard to feel lost in the midst of acquaintances. Ever been in a bar with 300 people around, where you know everyone but you feel like you are alone at the place? It’s kinda like that.

Although vagabonding is one of the most life-enriching adventures you can go on, unless you are a robot, emotional loneliness that is normally overcome by hopping to your mum’s, your best friend’s or partner’s home, is not an option on the road.
