One piece of advice I gave all those that I passed in my traveling as an officer on the Pacific Princess, “Always level you days by realizing that a bad day in Rome will always far exceed a good day at home”.

I enjoyed your talk at Borders in Tulsa tonight. Your comments about Korea, where I lived for awhile, were right on target. I am enjoying reading your comments about your book tour too. It must be as exotic as your vagabonding.

Damned if I can’t wait the extra nine and half months I have left in the Air Force. The road ahead isn’t calling, it’s screaming! Might as well start the great sell-off early and bank everything I can.
Rolf - great stuff here & in the book. Not giving any great measure of importance to myself, you should know I’ve only written one other author before. She wasn’t half the inspirtation to me then that you are to me now. Thanks for being out there - and thanks for encouraging me to be out there too. I’m sure, somehow, somewhere, I’ll meet you on the road. The one less travelled by.

Rolf, Just a quick note to thank you for a remarkable book. My travels have affirmed much of what you write. It’s a breath of life that has inspired me to a new level. Looking forward to more of your thoughts.
